Sit Awhile.

Come take my hand and walk with me,
A secret place, which has no key,
Where grass is thick and lush and green,
And summer flowers can be seen.

We'll count the butterflies in flight,
In shades of blue and gold and white,
And there to make the scene complete,
We'll see a perfect wooden seat.

And so we sit and rest awhile,
And cast each other, restful smile,
And breathe within the scented air,
As if we couldn't have a care.

Under the shade of willow tree,
We'll watch Gods beauty, you and me,
And hear the sweet birds chirping song,
And feel as if, we do belong.

The stream goes gently rushing by,
We watch a dancing butterfly,
And feel the grass between our toes,
And feel at ever sweet repose.

And there upon a branch alights,
A tiny bird in rest from flight,
He sings the sweetest melody,
A song that's just for you and me.

And in the distance sun does set,
And casts a magic silhouette,
We're so glad we walked this way,
And came to sit awhile, today.

A few years ago, Macey and Mackenzie were thrust into the national spotlight right before their surgery to separate them. The twins were bound at the pelvis and sharing a third leg. The marathon 24-hour surgery was successful and the girls recovered well. Now Macey and Mackenzie lead normal(ish) lives riding horses and 4 wheeling in Indianola, Iowa.

BE YOURSELF

The world would like to change you;
There are pressures all around,
You must decide just who you are,
Then firmly hold your ground.

You have an image of yourself,
An ideal sense of you;
And to this vision you must always
Struggle to be true.

You know what you are good at,
And you know where talents lie;
But if you're ruled by others,
Your uniqueness could pass by.

Remember, there is much to learn,
All new things aren't good,
Wisdom lies in what you've learned
And what you have withstood.

So be yourself and don't allow
The world to take control,
Preserving your identity
Is life's most precious goal.

Several Years ago we had a little bird, a budgerigar, called Hayes. I had hand tamed him from a chick ( I bred birds back then ), and taught him to say so much. I was even getting him started on Spanish. Hayes blessed our lives for just three years when he sadly passed away from a suspected stroke. Here he is in full swing...and the snoring you can hear in the background is our late doggie Kate ( who looked just like our Megan ) and who adored Hayes.

Our Late Great Hayes. 1999. Listen to him talk!

Low clouds over a volcano.

Thought you might enjoy this - some come up temporarily not available - because of the band width I assume - but the others are great memories for us nostalgia buffs- Video isn't the best - but back then..... they weren't planning for the digital age lol.

NOTE: if one doesn't d/l entirely - skip - go on to another one - then go back to the one you tried.
