A Dog Named Beau

The white cliffs of Dover, England, UK

Photographer Michel  Denis-Huot, who captured these amazing pictures on safari in Kenya 's Masai Mara in October last year, said he was astounded by what he saw:

"These three cheetah brothers have been living together since they left their mother at  about 18 months old,' he said. 'On the morning we saw them, they  seemed not to be hungry, walking quickly but stopping sometimes to  play together. 'At one point, they met a group of impala who ran away. But one youngster was not quick enough and the brothers caught it easily'".

These extraordinary  scenes  followed.

The Christmas Poem - ( December 2006 ).

There is a greater strength in silence,
This is what I've been told,
A greater strength in staying young,
Than ever growing old.
There is wisdom in humility,
And sincerity in grace,
And beauty in what's deep inside
Instead of on the face.
There is graciousness in giving,
Which outweighs any gift,
There is calmness in forgiveness,
Which will give the spirit lift.
There's serenity in kindness,
By supporting those in need,
With a quiet understanding,
Overcoming any greed.
There is value in the treasures,
Which cant be bought or sold,
Like love, and understanding,
As our sweet lives do unfold.
So go on your way in peace now,
And create what love you can,
'Tis the season to spread kindness,
...And goodwill to fellow man.

From Edition 24

A father and son are in a car accident. The father dies instantly. The boy, in critical condition, is rushed to the nearest hospital for emergency surgery.

The surgeon looks at the child aghast and says, "I can't operate on him! He's my own son!"

 How could that be?

Answer:

First - the surgeon was the boy's mother, or an alternative - the riddle says a father and son are in a car accident.  It doesn't say the father and son are related - i.e. there is a father, an (someone else's) son.

A Walk In Heaven

Bald eagles are not bald.

The top of their head is covered with slicked-down white feathers; from a distance, they appear hairless.

Thank you everyone for your understanding that sends are considerably fewer at the moment

while I continue the ongoing care of my Mum who is very unwell.
