Blessed In Aging
Author Unknown
Blessed are they who understand
My faltering step and shaking hand
Blessed, who know my ears today
Must strain to hear the things they say.
Blessed are those who seem to know
My eyes are dim and my mind is slow
Blessed are those who look away
When I spilled tea that weary day.
Blessed are they who, with cheery smile
Stopped to chat for a little while
Blessed are they who know the way
To bring back memories of yesterday.
Blessed are those who never say
"You've told that story twice today"
Blessed are they who make it known
That I am loved, respected and not alone.
And blessed are they who will ease the days
Of my journey home, in loving ways.
I have been searching for a lilac rose for my garden for some time now, and at last today I found one, and ordered it. Isn't it lovely?

Carry On
When life smacks you in the face, and it all seems such
a waste,
Carry on.
When you feel the odds are low, and you don't know
where to go,
Carry on.
When you feel you are alone, feeling lost and
feeling prone,
Carry On.
When the sky's no longer blue, and every raindrop
falls on you,
Carry on.
I'll be there when'ere you cry, standing close to
dry your eye,
Carry on.
I'll lift you up when you feel down, make you
smile instead of frown,
Carry on.
And the meaning of this verse-
there is ALWAYS someone worse,
So have that sparkle in your eye, lift your
head up proudly high,
Take each day one at a time, give the sun it's chance to
shine,
And however large the task, just be you - that's all I ask -
And
carry on.

The
point of philosophy is to start with something so simple as not to seem
worth stating, and to end with something so paradoxical that no one
will believe it. Bertrand Russell
